Etunes toyota navigation4/8/2023 ![]() I'm waiting until the market sorts this all out and hopefully the options will be both better & cheaper. Crutchfield offers several replacement radios that are Apple CarPlay compatible at a cost of $600 to $1400 but it's vague about what features/apps will even work with these. They are either way behind the times in keeping these systems current or, if you're into conspiry theories, they are doling out the improvements at a slow rate because they don't have much to offer overall. My spin is the Tundra is a great truck but the radio and most other electronics are stuck back in 2010. Toyota made the Entune App but are not forth coming in telling you it's only for the Entune Premium System. You can view the owners and navigation manuals in the owners section of the Toyota. The 2021 Sienna will likely have both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 2019-2020 comes with Apple CarPlay which can display iPhone navigation apps and the 2018 can be retrofitted with CarPlay. Just a bit better than nothing but not much. There are two navigation systems available in the 2018-2020 XLE. Don't know if there is an Android version. This is a half assed app that links your phone with Entune and adds a voice only navigation feature through your iPhone. For iPhone users there is another app called "Scout GPS Link". Entune app only works with Entune Premium. Entune Audio (the basic), Entune Audio Plus (what my SR5 has) & Entune Premium Audio. Found out there are 3 different Entune radios used in the Tundra. ![]() Can anyone please shed some light on this for me. Pricing varies by vehicle and trim level. If not, I'm going to be a little disappointed with a little bit of a bait and switch by calling it entune and it not really doing anything other than a normal radio. Toyota officially introduced Entune at the annual Consumer Electronics Show in January 2011, making it available for purchase on 2012 model year vehicles including the Prius V Three (pronounced 'vee,' not Roman numeral 'five'), the Tacoma pickup and the popular Camry. And, you only get weather and traffic when you're in an HD area!!!! I'm hoping that I'm doing something wrong and that there is a fix. ![]() So why make a big deal about it being an entune radio if the only benefits are HD Radio, weather and traffic. I also inquired with service about swapping out the head unit I have and having the JBL put in and was told that it isn't possible. Don't get me wrong, the guy knew everything else about the truck, just not the one piece of info I needed. Do I need to have the JBL entune radio to use the app? My salesperson was clueless about the system, but I just figured it would work. My issue is this when I tried to connect to the entune app, a message comes up and says that the VIN isn't compatible. As far as apps, I get weather and traffic. It has the Entune radio, but not the one with nav(sorry, I can't recall the difference in model names for it). I just recently bought a brand new 2015 Tundra CM SR5.
